Matías Iglesias

I am Matias Nehuen Iglesias, an experienced Data Scientist and AI Systems Developer with a PhD in Economics from Scuola Sup. Sant’Anna, Pisa. My academic background is complemented by an MSc in Physics from Universidad de Buenos Aires, where I focused on the dynamics of iron-based superconductors. My interdisciplinary expertise allows me to approach complex problems with a unique perspective, integrating data analysis with operational needs.

Throughout my career, I have held significant roles, including Director of Data Analysis and App Development at the Ministry of Security in Buenos Aires Province, where I led technical teams and orchestrated end-to-end data workflows. Currently, I serve as an Advisor in the Secretary of Planning and have also worked as a Data Science Consultant for the World Bank Group and Duke University. My commitment to transforming ideas into actionable systems drives my work, and I am dedicated to leveraging my skills in Python, data engineering, and AI frameworks to support strategic decision-making.
