At Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, I oversee cirrhosis-clinic patients at risk of liver cancer, arranging and reviewing blood tests and ultrasounds, assessing clinical needs, and communicating results.
I manage urgent community hepatology referrals, including cancer pathways requiring action within two weeks, working closely with a consultant hepatologist to coordinate imaging, investigations, clinic assessment, and emergency escalation. I also review hepatology records to identify patients who may have been lost to follow-up and arrange appropriate care.
Alongside my specialist role, I've worked as a Band 5 staff nurse in acute hepatology medicine, delivering complex medication, IV therapy, deterioration assessment, nutritional support, wound care, end-of-life care, and night-shift ward leadership. I'm looking to build on my nursing skills and use them to help people in need.
