Martina Nicodemus

At Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital, I gained practical experience with patient registration, medical records, and referral processes. I also used Afya eHMS to manage health information and submit NHIF claims.

In Ophthalmology, I registered patients, processed NHIF optical authorization, checked coverage, and helped correct inaccurate information. I also supported neonatal inpatient data organization using Afya eHMS, Excel, and Google Sheets.

I'm studying Health Information Science at the University of Dodoma, where my relevant areas include electronic health records, database management, and systems analysis and design. My field placement also gave me exposure to health information management and data processing.

For an academic project, I'm developing a concept for digitizing health records to reduce repetitive manual registration, with attention to data accuracy and human review. I also built a beginner Python workflow with pandas and matplotlib to summarize, filter, and visualize data.
