I've shaped the cinematography and visual worlds of films including Paper Soldier, Mayak, Something Better to Come, Come Free, and Songs of the Djinn. My work has been recognized with around 30 professional awards and nominations, including a European Film Academy nomination and Best Cinematography at the Venice Film Festival.
Alongside feature and documentary work, I develop visual and lighting concepts for cinema, urban spaces, museums, and performative environments. Since 2017, I've created light installations for festivals and urban lighting projects, including Heavenly Trumpet, which placed third at the Night of Light in Gatchina.
I'm drawn to parable, utopia, fantasy, arthouse, and psychological drama, and I also teach and consult on lighting and film language.
