At Vellore Institute of Technology, my research examines how technology-mediated environments influence human cognition, behaviour and psychological wellbeing. My PhD dissertation explores the psychological pathways of generative AI usage among young adults.
I developed and psychometrically validated a scale for measuring human metacognition in GPT-assisted cognition. My work also includes research on public perceptions of AI-driven mental health interventions and qualitative analysis of user experiences with a digital mental health app.
Through research projects, teaching and policy discussions, I’ve contributed to work on AI dependence, child wellbeing and responsible technology use. I use quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method approaches, including scale development, SEM and behavioural research.
