Mackenzie Alton
@mackenziealton
Industrial and interior designer creating human-centered, build-ready products and spaces.
What I'm looking for
I am an industrial and interior designer who combines human-centered design thinking with hands-on fabrication experience to deliver refined, build-ready interior solutions. I focus on spatial reasoning, material behavior, and manufacturability across digital and physical environments.
My experience includes material-driven product and interior development, CAD documentation, and collaboration with engineers, vendors, and fabricators to resolve build constraints and meet timeline goals. I have produced production-ready drawings, technical/shop documentation, and 3D visualizations.
In shop and studio roles I led advanced prototyping and fabrication, advised on structural integrity and manufacturing logic, and managed shop operations to support rapid iteration and problem-solving. I also mentored designers and coordinated multi-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate execution.
I seek to apply my skills in materials, CNC/3D printing, and finish processes to projects that value user-centered design, thoughtful material selection, and practical, manufacturable solutions.
