Leon Anidjar
@leonanidjar
I’m an associate professor focused on corporate governance, law, and finance.
What I'm looking for
I’m an academic specializing in corporate governance and legal theory, bringing both doctrinal depth and empirical perspective to how companies, directors, and fiduciary duties function under stress and across legal systems.
Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor of Corporate Governance at IE University, and I also work as a Fellow & Lecturer at Vanderbilt Law and Owen Business Schools. I’ve held additional fellow roles including a Non-Residential Fellow at Stanford Law School and engagements with institutions such as The European Banking Institute and the Center on Law and Finance at Goethe University.
My research and writing examine privacy and data infrastructure in emerging AI contexts, the role of corporate purpose after major societal shifts, and cross-jurisdiction governance questions—ranging from concentrated ownership and fiduciary duties to directors’ duty of care in financial distress. I’m energized by research that connects corporate law, governance structures, and law-and-finance insights into clear, actionable frameworks for real-world decision-making.
