I am a dedicated oral hygienist with experience in both orthodontics and general dentistry. During my time at Dr Kgoa Practice Inc, I worked as a locum oral hygienist, performing scaling and polishing, dental restorations, and removal and placement of elastomeric ligatures. At NuTith Dental, I specialized in orthodontics, conducting assessments and examinations for patients requiring orthodontic treatment. I also worked closely with the dentist to provide comprehensive care for orthodontic patients, including debonding and taking impressions for retainers.
I obtained my Bachelor of Oral Hygiene from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, where I gained exposure to oral hygiene clinics and periodontal clinicals. I have developed a strong skill set, including plaque and calculus removal, oral hygiene instructions and recommendations, periodontal therapy, diagnostic x-rays, dental charting, and orthodontic procedures such as cephalometric tracing and debonding of brackets.
