What I'm looking for

I’m seeking a full-time role where I can use my education, training, and skills to deliver exceptional high-quality patient care—helping improve resident and skilled patient outcomes, reduce costs, and meet company goals as a productive team member.

I’m a Registered Nurse with a strong track record across Interventional Radiology, Utilization Management/Concurrent Review, and critical care—built on a consistent focus on patient safety, clinical quality, and measurable operational results.

In my current role as UTMB Galveston Interventional Radiology Nurse III, I perform pre-procedure assessment, monitor intraprocedure care, and oversee post-procedure/post-sedation recovery. I communicate effectively with physicians and the care team, and I’ve served as Charge nurse for 6 months. I also contribute as a Moderation Sedation Champion chair member and NIH Stroke Champion committee member.

Previously, I strengthened quality and cost stewardship through RN Utilization Manager/Concurrent Review work at Centene/Wellcare/TexanPlus and Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. I performed utilization review using Interqual and MCG criteria, coordinated denials with physicians and facilities, maintained 99% TAT, and supported multidisciplinary care coordination. I also cross-trained on appeals to write appeal determinations and review appeal documentation, bringing strong time management for a remote role.

Earlier leadership and assessment experience sharpened my operations mindset: as RN – ADON and Director of Nursing, I oversaw daily patient operations, staffing, training, policies/procedures, and ensured state inspection readiness with zero deficiencies for nursing care. I’ve also handled patient assessment coordination for long-term acute care and critical care work in SICU and other ICUs, supported by EPIC charting and hands-on skills for complex patients.
