What I'm looking for
I am an experienced mathematics educator with a strong background in applied mathematics and a commitment to fostering student success. I hold a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from Elizabeth City State University and have dedicated my career to teaching at various educational levels, from middle school to college. My goal is to inspire students to appreciate the beauty of mathematics and to equip them with the skills they need for future success.
Throughout my career, I have held numerous teaching positions, including high school math teacher and online tutor. I have been recognized for my contributions to education, receiving awards such as the Certificate of Recognition from The American Meteorological Society. My experience also includes mentoring students through various programs, which has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and teaching strategies.
As I pursue a doctorate degree in mathematics, I am eager to continue my journey in education, focusing on high school or college-level teaching. I believe in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages students to explore mathematical concepts and develop critical thinking skills.
