At Michuki National Polytechnic, I helped transform the Mathematics and Science section into the Applied Sciences department. The department grew from 8 to 25 staff and became the institution’s centre of excellence.
I delivered CBET Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and Quantitative Analysis at Levels 5 and 6, and designed competency-based assessments, CATs and PoE requirements. I also timetabled classes and monitored delivery, earning a 98% rating in the FY 2024/2025 Staff Performance Appraisal.
As Deputy Head of the Applied Sciences Department, I supervised teaching staff and coordinated academic programmes, internal examinations and industrial liaison activities. I also supported recruitment, learner welfare, procurement planning and budget implementation.
Since 2023, I’ve worked as a national TVET CDACC setter, vetter and moderator, contributing to assessment validation, PoE moderation and marking. I’ve also lectured part-time at The Co-operative University of Kenya and developed an Integrated Performance Management System at the County Government of Nyeri.
