My M.Tech research at Walchand Institute of Technology, Solapur, focused on a shock-absorbing lower-limb prosthetic. I designed a custom mechanism and validated a spring-integrated pylon that absorbs 1.06–1.53 J of elastic strain energy per gait phase.
I compared lightweight composite materials using a weighted decision matrix, achieving an assembly-level mass reduction of approximately 50–66% relative to titanium and steel equivalents. My prosthetic leg design also received a granted Indian Design Patent, and I published a review paper on 3D printing and advanced materials for next-generation prosthetic limbs.
