Kathy Choi

At LYYH Studio, I contributed to a major residential project from mid-stage through design completion, focusing on water feature design in close collaboration with colleagues and contractors. I also conducted design research and developed concept proposals for competition entries.

At the University of Edinburgh, I designed a small-scale architectural intervention in St Andrews, exploring cabinetry, materiality and tectonic detail. I refined its form, sequence and spatial experience through iterative scaled studies informed by local context and culture.

For my 3D Digital Design elective, I designed and animated a fully realised candy world in Blender, reimagining traditional ghats architecture. I created an establishing shot and a first-person camera journey with atmospheric lighting and sound design.

My other projects include proposals for sustainable timber structures in Kayaköy and eco-friendly urban planning in Hong Kong. I also gained experience in building operations, safety protocols and sustainability practices at Kai Shing Management Services Ltd.
