What I'm looking for

I'm looking to contribute immediately to a senior newsroom or investigative team, applying editorial leadership, investigative reporting, and the British journalism standards I'm developing through my NCTJ Diploma.

I've led The Saturday Star newsroom and shaped investigations that drove national conversation across South Africa's national media.

As Editor for eight years, I managed more than 20 journalists, editors and producers, set editorial strategy across print and digital, and held full editorial and legal responsibility for published content. I increased digital readership through data-informed content strategy, introduced new storytelling formats, and developed guidelines adopted across multiple Independent Media titles.

My reporting includes undercover work on far-right extremist activity, the long-form crime investigation The Killer Who Came to Tea, and The Gallows: Justice and Healing. I've built trusted sources across law enforcement, the judiciary, government and civil society, and co-authored The A to Z of Politics in South Africa: People, Parties and Players.

Now in the UK, I'm completing the NCTJ Level 5 Diploma and bringing rigorous investigative instincts, newsroom leadership, and commitment to British journalism standards.
