Karla Cifuentes

I’m an MD Psychiatrist focused on delivering high-quality psychiatric care across outpatient consultation and inpatient hospitalization. In my current role, I provide outpatient care in Boyaca and continue to prioritize safe, patient-centered management.

Over the past several years, I’ve worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at San Juan de Dios Clinic and Antioquia Hospitalization, as well as at Mente Plena IPS. I also have experience supporting telehealth care and addiction-focused services through Mente Plena IPS, strengthening continuity of care beyond in-person visits.

My background includes General physician experience and fieldwork with Doctors without Borders. I bring clinical research and education experience—screening for depression and personality disorders in emergency settings, research on cardiovascular and laboratory findings in Chagas disease consultation, and teaching lectures in developmental education and psychology, while sharing my work as a conference speaker.
