I’m looking for backend-focused work where I can build secure, scalable APIs, optimize database performance, and ship production-grade systems. I enjoy measurable reliability (testing, load benchmarks) and open to remote or relocation.

I’m a backend-focused software engineer specializing in scalable API systems, authentication architecture, and production-grade backend development with Node.js, TypeScript, Express, and MongoDB. I build and load-test backend services with optimized indexing, centralized middleware, and containerized deployments, with a strong focus on security and predictable performance.

In my projects, I implemented JWT authentication and 3-level RBAC (Admin, Manager, User), plus ownership and membership-based access checks. I improved task-query performance by aligning compound indexes with filter/sort paths, reducing p99 latency from 1689ms to 1206ms and increasing throughput by 77% on a seeded 10k-task dataset, while validating APIs through Jest and Supertest. I’m also a National Finalist at Smart India Hackathon 2025 (top 0.04% among 15,000+ teams), and I enjoy collaborating through peer code reviews and backend engineering discussions.

Developed a secure Notes backend with JWT authentication, bcrypt password hashing, and owner-scoped authorization to prevent cross-user data access. Added Jest + Supertest automated API tests for authentication and protected-route ownership rules, alongside layered security middleware (rate limiting, Helmet, CORS) and RESTful CRUD endpoints with input validation.

SendIt

Built a browser-based peer-to-peer file sharing app using Next.js with PeerJS and WebRTC for direct device-to-device transfers without routing file payloads through a backend server. Implemented connection lifecycle and transfer-state management with session-based 6-character codes to improve reliability on unstable networks, plus a responsive UI with real-time transfer feedback.
