Justice Theophilus
@justicetheophilus
Commercial lawyer focused on energy and infrastructure finance, IP litigation, insolvency, and cross-border dispute resolution.
What I'm looking for
I’m a commercial lawyer whose practice spans energy and infrastructure finance, intellectual property litigation, insolvency and asset recovery, dispute resolution, and corporate finance. At Stren & Blan Partners, I advise across complex mandates—building practical legal structures that can stand up in real transactions.
I’ve supported major financings and regulatory advisory work, including a US$5,000,000 mining capital raise, a US$2,000,000 solar green bond for C&I solar projects, and contributions to Nigeria’s Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme. I also support restructuring and ownership reversion matters, including a US$36,000,000 restructuring with stakeholder coordination to secure commercially viable outcomes.
In intellectual property litigation, I’ve led and supported enforcement work for clients such as Microsoft Corporation, Rolex SA, The Coca-Cola Company, and Louis Vuitton Malletier. My work includes objecting to and striking-off infringing entities, executing Anton Piller Orders, and building post-judgment compliance strategies.
I also deliver results in insolvency, restructuring, and cross-border recoveries—recovering over US$30 million across Ghana, Senegal, and Mozambique, and supporting transactions exceeding US$36 million. Beyond client work, I drive business development through targeted client identification and proposals, and I contribute thought leadership through published analysis on energy regulation, green finance, and maritime law.
