What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow as a Pharmaceutical Technologist in a quality-driven hospital, handling dispensing, patient counseling, SOPs, and CMEs—while leading safety and SafeCare initiatives to ensure compliance, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

I’m a Pharmaceutical Technologist currently working at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, where I dispense medications across the outpatient clinic, inpatient clinic, eye unit, and comprehensive care center. I focus on patient holistic counseling to improve medication adherence, while ensuring quality of care through regular updates to Standard Operational Procedures.

I also take on safety and quality leadership—acting as the fire marshal in my department, and serving as the SafeCare champion to monitor, document, and apply quality practices within and outside the department. In addition, I coordinate and moderate departmental CMEs weekly and lead the Eye pharmacy unit as Team Leader, while managing pharmacy files and important data tools related to the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Previously, at Dermallure Skin Clinic (2020–2024), I prepared customized medicines by conducting pharmacy calculations and developing extemporaneous pharmaceutical preparations for individual patient needs. I ensured quality control and safety compliance throughout preparation and dispensing, supported patients with skin-condition medications, and stayed current through continuing education.

Earlier, as a Pharmaceutical Technologist Intern at Sako Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (2019–2020), I supported procurement and troubleshooting by collaborating with the pharmacy and store teams to optimize production processes. I maintained documentation, audited inventory to prevent stockouts, analyzed demand patterns for stock optimization, and mentored medical students in clinical skills, patient communication, and pharmaceutical practice.
