Julia Bergmann
@juliabergmann
Aspiring Data Analyst with physics background: translating complex data into insights across four languages, testing against real-world constraints.
What I'm looking for
With a background in theoretical physics, I thrive on transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for diverse, multilingual audiences. Collaboration with experimental teams refined my ability to design robust test setups, evaluate ideas against real-world constraints, and extract meaningful conclusions from data.
As a theoretical physicist at ICFO and UAB, closely collaborating with an experimental group, I analyzed data and crafted testing models for the lab using Python, Julia, and Wolfram Mathematica. Moreover, I presented my findings to professionals and the broader public in English, Spanish, Catalan, and German at more than 15 conferences and events, and supervised bachelor's and master's students in their thesis work.
In my experimental work at the University of Hamburg, I leveraged my analytical skills for the development, setup, and maintenance of laser laboratories — teaching me to combine data-driven insights with adaptability to real-world conditions.
Throughout my career, I have used Microsoft Office Suite extensively and recently improved my workflows by integrating AI tools. I am currently expanding my toolkit with SQL training as well as applying Python and AI workflows to data analysis challenges. I look forward to bringing my skills to industry, bridging abstract models and practical outcomes to enable insight-driven decisions.
