At the University of Antwerp’s Laboratory of Medical Microbiology, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and studied pathogenic streptococci and microbiome dynamics using next-generation sequencing.
My PhD project, “Harnessing next-generation sequencing for analysing pathogenic streptococci and microbiome dynamics,” focused on genomic and metagenomic data, including short- and long-read sequencing.
I also bring hands-on experience in microbial culturing, nucleic acid extraction, and laboratory quality control. My research skills include bioinformatic analysis in Unix and R, manuscript writing, and study design.
