Juan Murillo

I spend my days doing two things that might sound unrelated but actually come from the same instinct: making video content people actually want to watch, and making sure content stays safe for the people watching it. I've been doing this professionally for a little over two years, editing long-form and short-form video for a personal-development YouTube channel with over a million subscribers, while also reviewing footage and moderating community activity against platform guidelines. I'm originally from Colombia, based in Warsaw now, and I work comfortably in both Spanish and English, which has turned out to be more useful in this line of work than I expected going in.

Give me raw footage and I'll find the moment worth keeping. I've cut everything from live event replays to podcast episodes to short-form clips for Instagram and TikTok, usually on a weekly deadline that doesn't move no matter what. I currently split my time across a few other clients too, each with a completely different tone and audience, and somehow keep all of them consistent without mixing up whose voice is whose. On the moderation side, keeping an audience of that size safe day-to-day has taught me more about judgment calls than any course could have.

Outside of work, I'm usually deep in a game I have no business still being this invested in, or on a volleyball court trying to remember I have a day job tomorrow. Always happy to connect, especially with anyone building something interesting in video or content.
