Juan Cruz Lago

I’m a final-year Geomatic and Surveying Engineering student at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), with international experience through Erasmus. I build strong solutions around positioning methodologies, analytical cartography, and geospatial data management—always balancing theory with field reality.

Through my internship at Pavasal, I provided direct office and field technical support for metric control and monitoring of civil work and infrastructure projects. I processed, edited, and validated as-built drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and supported staking-out, analytical leveling, and high-precision topographic surveys under regulatory standards.

I also developed reliability and calm decision-making in high-demand environments as an Operations & Activities Coordinator in critical mountain settings. Alongside that, my experience as a Rugby Coach & Instructor sharpened my team leadership, communication, conflict resolution, time management, and motivation skills.

On the technical side, I combine CAD and GIS tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, QGIS, ArcGIS, Global Mapper) with photogrammetry and remote-sensing workflows (Pix4D, ENVI, point cloud processing). For surveying and geodesy, I work with Trimble Business Center, total stations, and GNSS/GPS data, and I complement it with programming for geospatial analysis using Python and MATLAB.
