What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow in a clinical laboratory role where I can lead molecular diagnostics (PCR, contamination control), ensure biosafety and QC, and produce evidence-based, high-quality results while improving instrumentation performance and documentation compliance.

I’m an analytical, detail-oriented Microbiologist and Medical Laboratory Analyst with strong expertise in molecular diagnostics, microbial identification, and clinical chemistry. I focus on high-precision PCR workflows, strict contamination control, and consistent analytical accuracy in fast-paced laboratory environments.

At People’s Medical Laboratory, I perform diagnostic testing across biochemistry, microbiology, virology, immunology, hematology, and molecular diagnostics. I independently execute PCR testing for viral and bacterial pathogens, validate sample quality and integrity, and maintain high-volume workflows with careful documentation.

I ensure reliability through quality practices like QC on water sources, sterile rooms, and testing media, plus data validation and instrumentation troubleshooting. I operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, while enforcing biosafety and sterilization procedures to support a safe, efficient lab environment.

Earlier, I completed a Microbiology Internship with Environmental Technical and Analytical Services (ETAS), supporting environmental monitoring workflows and contamination assessments. I hold a BSc in Microbiology (Honours) from the University of the West Indies and certifications including Bloodborne Pathogens Certification, strengthening my commitment to evidence-based, ISO-aligned compliance.
