Joseph Olapade

I am currently a Product Support Engineer passionate about designing, automating, and operating reliable cloud infrastructure. My primary interests are DevOps Engineering and Cloud Engineering, where I can combine automation, infrastructure, and software to build scalable and resilient systems.

Currently, I work at Backbase, supporting cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes. I troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, monitor production environments using Datadog and Grafana, support CI/CD deployments through ArgoCD, and help improve operational processes through documentation and automation. I have also worked as a freelance DevOps Engineer, building AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CloudFormation.

I hold AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certifications. I enjoy working with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and cloud automation.

What motivates me most is continuous learning and solving complex technical problems. I transitioned into cloud engineering through self-learning, earning industry certifications and building hands-on projects to deepen my knowledge. I am always looking for opportunities to learn new technologies, improve engineering practices, and contribute to high-performing teams.

I'm currently seeking opportunities in Cloud Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, where I can continue building secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions while making a meaningful impact on the business and the people who use its products.
