I’m a qualified Building Inspector with 28+ years of diverse construction and inspection experience, focused on evaluating construction plans and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. I’m proficient in conducting site inspections, reviewing permit applications, and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.

Since November 2019, I’ve served as a Building Inspector for Seminole County in Sanford, FL, performing timely inspections of new and existing buildings to support structural safety. I investigate complaints, issue notices of non-compliance, review technical reports, and advise supervisory personnel, contractors, and property owners on hazardous or controversial field conditions.

From December 2014 to October 2019, I worked as a Senior Housing Rehabilitation Specialist for Orange County, overseeing housing rehabilitation and capital improvement work for compliance with contractual agreements, building codes, and HUD housing standards. I prepared documentation and cost estimates for CDBG, SHIP, and HOME funded projects, developed bid specifications and drawings, tracked schedules for timely completion, and communicated inspection results and recommended actions during delays or noncompliance.

Earlier in my career, I strengthened my compliance and enforcement background as a Commercial Code Enforcement / Fire Building Construction Inspector in Milwaukee, WI, including plan reviews and documentation for citations, orders, logs, and summary reports tied to inspections and investigations.
