Jorge Samson Blaires

I’m a licensed English–Spanish public translator in Paraguay, multilingual writer, and audiovisual professional with international academic and professional experience spanning Paraguay, Japan, and the United States. I hold a degree in Multimedia from Japan and an MFA in Cinematography from the U.S., where I studied as a Fulbright scholar.

My work covers legal, commercial, academic, technical, and audiovisual translation, as well as subtitling, localization, content development, screenwriting, and digital media. I bring particular attention to accuracy, terminology, cultural nuance, and clear, natural communication—whether I am working with a complex legal document or content intended for an international audience.

Beyond Spanish and English, I have advanced proficiency in German and Japanese, as well as working knowledge of Portuguese. My international background has made me highly adaptable to multicultural teams, remote collaboration, and projects that require sensitivity to different markets and audiences.

I’m especially interested in opportunities involving translation, localization, multilingual content, writing, audiovisual media, creative development, and international communications. I combine linguistic precision with storytelling and media expertise, allowing me to approach projects not only as a translator, but as a communicator who understands both the message and the audience.
