João Gabriel Affonso

I'm currently developing BIM solutions at BLOCKS, structuring technical information, creating and validating BIM libraries, and producing 3D models and technical documentation for construction projects.

At Solução In Box, I worked across residential and commercial projects from architectural design and detailing through planning and construction. I coordinated architectural and engineering disciplines, supervised site activities, monitored quality, and aligned contractors, suppliers, and clients.

My background includes architecture and urban planning from UFRJ and Building Technician certification from CEFET/RJ. I also supported UFRJ's post-pandemic facility adaptation studies, including building safety, fire protection, and technical documentation.

Alongside practice, I've taught AutoCAD, SketchUp, and descriptive geometry since 2019. My academic research explored technology in architectural education, including a Rhinoceros and Grasshopper algorithm presented at the GRAPHICA 2019 International Conference.
