What I'm looking for

I am looking for opportunities that allow me to leverage my medical expertise while continuing to grow in cosmetic dermatology and family medicine.

My name is Joanne Leach, and I am a dedicated and registered Independent Medical Practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. I graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Cape Town in 2009, and I completed my Medical Internship in January 2012. With a postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthetics obtained in 2013, I have developed extensive experience in General Family Medicine, focusing on women's health, child health, mental health, and chronic disease management.

In addition to my medical practice, I have recently completed an Aesthetics course in 2023, expanding my skill set to include Cosmetic Dermatology. My approach to medicine is characterized by a conscientious attitude and strong relational skills, allowing me to connect effectively with patients and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Balancing my professional commitments with being a mother to two children has further honed my adaptability and resilience in complex environments.
