RF and Microwave engineer shaping directive antennas through EM simulations and optimization.

What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an RF and microwave research role where I can design directive antennas, run EM simulations (HFSS/CST/ADS), and use S-parameters and optimization to deliver beam steering, RF energy harvesting, and non-reciprocal RF systems.

I’m pursuing an M.Tech in RF and Microwave engineering (expected July 2027) after completing my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology. My focus spans analog electronic circuits, communication systems, antenna theory, MMIC, and EMI/EMC.

In my RF research internship at IIT Kharagpur, I engineered highly directive antennas of different configurations, including a 2x2 u-slot patch array, stacked dielectric resonators, and an aperture coupled antenna with an FSS superstrate layer. I also developed a Butler matrix for efficient beam-steering by connecting a circular array of 16 antennas to each matrix at intended resonant frequencies.

Across projects, I’ve pushed performance for D-band applications with a highly directive 2x2 quasi-cross slot patch array antenna (achieving gain to almost 12 dBi) and led an RF energy harvesting effort—designing a rectenna circuit using a Schottky diode in ADS for a 2.4 GHz ISM receiver. I’m also a team member on ferrite-stub influenced non-reciprocal antenna research, exploring non-travelling wave structures with non-reciprocity in the radiation pattern.

I contribute to research through a conference publication on “Enhanced Channel Estimation with Dual Timescales for Wireless Communications supported by Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces” and stay grounded in broader technical fundamentals via an ISRO remote certification in GIS. Alongside this, I serve as Assistant Treasurer in IEEE-APMTTS (Kharagpur Chapter), supporting the chapter’s financial logs while collaborating with the core committee.
