Jisan Rahman

I’m a final-year Industrial & Production Engineering student with a strong interest in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Manufacturing Systems, and Data Analytics. I enjoy solving real-world industrial problems by combining data-driven decision-making with process optimization and continuous improvement.

During my Industrial Attachment trainee experience at Marico Bangladesh Ltd., I performed statistical analysis on nozzle-wise filling weight variations, giveaway metrics, and process capability (Cp & Cpk) to pinpoint targeted improvement opportunities. I also completed cross-functional rotations across Filling, Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM), Crushing, Refinery, and Supply Chain, gaining hands-on exposure to FMCG operations.

I approached safety and quality as integral to performance—conducting an ergonomic assessment and designing workplace visual aids to support 5S compliance, safety protocols, and standard operational instructions. I also deepened my manufacturing understanding through production planning, quality control, safety management practices, and continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

Outside attachment, I build practical engineering solutions through projects and research. I developed an Arduino-based Automatic Waste Sorter using sensor fusion and servo-controlled gates, created a Digital Distance Measurement and Color-Coded Alert Device, and designed a Lathe Machine assembly in SolidWorks; I also co-authored a review paper on recycling methods for CFRPs. I learned usage of tools like MS Excel, IBM SPSS, IBM CPLEX, Minitab, and SolidWorks, I’m ready to learn fast, collaborate closely, and contribute to impactful engineering and business outcomes.
