Jimmy Jose

I’m a senior software engineer with 10 years of experience building production software across backend systems, mobile applications, SaaS products, and AI-enabled workflows.

I spent several years at Spenmo, a B2B FinTech company, where I worked across both Android and backend engineering. On the backend, I built REST APIs, background jobs, and microservices in Go, improved API performance by eliminating redundant database reads, and owned an AI service end-to-end, including architecture, infrastructure, deployment, and production LLM workflows. Earlier, I owned Android development using Kotlin, including CI/CD, releases, and reliability improvements that reduced the app’s crash rate from roughly 4% to below 1%.

Before Spenmo, I worked at ZeMoSo on zero-to-one products, including drone flight-planning applications, a social networking product, and cloud infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP.

Outside my main job, I enjoy building and shipping products independently. I’ve launched several mobile and web applications, including LoanLog, a Kotlin Multiplatform finance app with 3,000+ installs, as well as SaaS and AI-enabled products using Next.js, TypeScript, databases, cloud infrastructure, and LLM APIs.

I’m particularly interested in roles where I can own problems end-to-end, work closely with product or founders, make architectural decisions, improve performance and reliability, and turn ambiguous requirements into working software. I’m most interested in backend, product engineering, full-stack, applied AI, and technical leadership opportunities where strong ownership and the ability to learn quickly matter more than staying within a single technology stack.
