I've developed commercial physical products at IUL Instruments in Barcelona, taking them from functional requirements through prototyping, validation, and production. Several of my designs progressed to serial production.
I translate functional, electronic, and optical requirements into practical mechanical architectures, mechanisms, and enclosures. My work includes production-ready CAD, technical documentation, prototype assembly, testing, and iteration using Autodesk Inventor and Rhino.
I've designed components for HP Multi Jet Fusion PA12, injection moulding, CNC machining, and sheet-metal fabrication, balancing functionality, usability, aesthetics, manufacturability, and cost. I also work closely with electronics and other disciplines to integrate compact commercial products.
Alongside professional design work, I built an independent workshop where I designed and fabricated large-format FDM and MSLA printers, a CNC mill/router, and large-format 3D-printed lighting products. One custom production printer was purchased by IUL Instruments, beginning the collaboration that became my long-term role there.
