I am a dedicated laboratory technician with hands-on experience in process plant operations, sampling and assay work in a mining environment. I progressed from surveying and civil engineering assistance to process-plant trainee and into a permanent lab sampler role.
At Ok Tedi Mining Ltd I supported major civil projects and performed surveying fundamentals, then trained across thickener operations, valves, pumps, conveyors, compressors, met lab sampling and PLC/DCS systems. I completed a Certificate in Process Plant Technology and applied those skills on-site.
As a Laboratory Technician (Sampler - copper concentrate), I follow SWP and SOP, perform pre-start checks, prepare and label wet and dry samples, run moisture analyses (40min, 1hrly, 6hrly), and conduct fire assay testing to verify metal content. I also handle ovens, electronic scales, equipment calibration and data recording for production and barge samples.
I bring strong teamwork, communication, time management and problem-solving skills, plus technical competence with Microsoft Office, basic SAP and instrumentation familiarity. I am safety-focused, dependable and committed to continuous learning and performance improvement.
