At Jefferson County Commission, I supervise GIS personnel and oversee enterprise geodatabases containing 100,000+ sewer infrastructure assets. These datasets support annexation planning, regulatory compliance, and operational decisions.
I administer GIS systems including Cityworks, ITpipes, Freeance, and OnBase, and deliver GIS products for NPDES reporting, sewer overflow response, and state utility coordination. I also maintain public-facing tools such as sewer billing calculators and adjustment applications.
At University of Alabama, I developed the first topo-bathymetric model of Lake Victoria using satellite remote sensing and GIS-based hydrological modeling. I also built more than 30 years of satellite-derived datasets across 27 lakes to analyze hydrological variability.
My research work included automating geospatial workflows with Python and processing LiDAR, multispectral, and hyperspectral data. I instructed students in geography, physics, remote sensing, and GIS laboratories.
