Jan Schiltz

Originally from Antwerp, Belgium, I am now spending a year abroad in Saint Martin, embracing my passion for the maritime industry. My journey began at the Antwerp Maritime Academy, where I earned a Master's degree in Nautical Sciences. This foundation led me to gain valuable experience at sea on the M/V Maersk Nijmegen, where I honed my navigational and deck handling skills.

After my time at sea, I transitioned to a role as an Operational Supervisor at Vopak, one of the world's leading tank storage companies. Over five years, I was responsible for overseeing vessel, truck, and railcar operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in all processes. My dedication to the maritime field is reflected not only in my professional life but also in my personal interests, such as surfing, sailing, and rowing.
