Janet Forster

I’m a Fitout Engineer with experience delivering complex construction projects, supported by a degree in Environmental Engineering and a strong interest in sustainable design and construction practices. Before site delivery, I worked as a Sustainability Consultant on building projects, advising on green building standards and environmental impact strategies.

In recent roles, I’ve gained large-scale project exposure through the Broadway Subway Project workstream as part of the construction team. I’ve also worked on major infrastructure delivery, including Cross River Rail, where I built experience in stakeholder coordination and high-pressure project delivery.

In my current role, I manage fit-out works across program, budget, and contracts—coordinating trades while ensuring quality and compliance. I’m comfortable optimizing on-site practices and aligning delivery with ESG goals throughout the construction lifecycle.

I’m especially motivated by the intersection of engineering efficiency and environmental resiliency, with a keen interest in groundwater, catchments, and water and land contamination. I’m aspiring to take on broader responsibilities as a Project Engineer, leading multidisciplinary teams while embedding sustainability into every phase.
