What I'm looking for

I'm looking to apply my executive communications, writing, content strategy, and crisis-coverage experience to shape credible narratives, engage stakeholders, and make complex information clear and actionable.

I've spent more than 25 years translating complex political, business, public policy, technology, and crisis issues into clear, credible communications for major national and local audiences.

At PIX11, I anchor, report, and host “PIX11 Community CloseUp with Jay Dow,” an Edward R. Murrow Award-winning public affairs program. I own its editorial lifecycle, from concept development, writing, and research through production and stakeholder engagement.

My reporting has driven meaningful public impact, including coverage connected to President Trump’s posthumous pardon of Jack Johnson and an investigation into New York City homeless-housing spending that contributed to heightened scrutiny and the resignation of the city’s Commissioner of Homeless Services.

Across PIX11, CBS News, WCBS, NY1, and WJAC-TV, I've led coverage during breaking news and crises, conducted high-level interviews, and partnered with editorial teams to deliver polished messaging. My work has earned more than 30 major journalism awards, including 17 News Emmys, Associated Press Awards, National Association of Black Journalists Awards, and Edward R. Murrow Awards.
