Jake Abdulla
@jakeabdulla
Geologist focused on stream restoration and field-based surveying.
What I'm looking for
I am a graduating senior in Geology with hands-on experience in field surveying, stream restoration, and geologic mapping. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a strong academic record and a practical focus on environmental protection.
As an Environmental Intern I assisted in stream restoration projects, performed geomorphic assessments, and surveyed over 100 culverts to evaluate structural conditions. My field methods training included Brunton compass techniques and constructing stratigraphic columns, reinforcing my mapping and measurement skills.
In leadership roles, I served as Vice President of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, coordinating outreach, events, and community service to promote geology. I also supported instruction as a Geology TA, grading coursework across multiple classes and helping manage labs.
I am eager to apply my surveying, project planning, and remediation skills to work that protects and restores land and water resources, contributing practical field expertise and community-focused outreach.
