Alicia Vaalburg

I am an environmental science student concentrating in geochemistry with hands-on laboratory and field experience. I balance rigorous coursework—ranging from analytical chemistry and groundwater hydrology to GIS and data science—with practical lab skills such as gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and geochemical modeling.

I have applied my skills in collaborative, high-pressure environments while working in hospitality and through leadership roles I co-founded in campus sustainability. As Vice‑President and Co‑Founder of Plant Futures at Temple University, I organized outreach, led climate and renewable energy discussions, and represented the group at a national sustainability convention.

I contribute to community-focused projects through the Temple University Society of Environmental Engineers and Scientists and volunteer work with animal care. I am seeking opportunities to apply geochemical analysis, field sampling, and GIS to advance environmental monitoring and remediation projects.
