I’m an Engineering Manager with over 20 years of experience designing, modernizing, and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions for the Banking and Finance domain, including Investment Banking and Capital Markets. I focus on building cloud-native, microservices-based architectures that improve scalability, resilience, and security while supporting high-impact initiatives across Risk & Compliance, AML, Consumer Fraud Detection, and remittance/payments.

At Western Union, I spearhead application modernization—transforming legacy monoliths into AWS-based microservices for high availability, scalability, and security. I lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of high-performance APIs and microservices that handle peak transactional loads, and I engineer reusable components and libraries to accelerate development cycles and improve team productivity.

I combine strategic and hands-on leadership through Agile/SAFe delivery models, architecture reviews, rigorous unit and integration testing, and rigorous code review processes driven by clean code principles and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). I also use modern AI enablement (LLM models and GitHub Copilot) to enhance workflows like KYC profile screening and Behavior-Driven development, while mentoring and recruiting top talent to build a high-performance engineering culture that consistently delivers business value.
