Itai Chimwala

I am a diligent accountant and social entrepreneur with a BSc in Accounting and an MSc in Accountancy, currently completing ACCA and a Chartered Tax Accountant qualification. I combine academic rigour with practical experience to drive accurate financial reporting and compliance.

At KFC Zimbabwe head office I have overseen month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes, maintained ledgers, reconciled accounts, and prepared statutory and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS. I work closely with Treasury, Cash Operations, and Tax to ensure sound internal controls and timely financial information.

I lead budgeting and cash-flow activities, manage inventory reconciliation through computer systems, and support tax return preparations. I also assist with hiring, training and development of staff, and review manual journals for policy compliance.
