What I'm looking for

A backend role on a product with real load and real data, where I can own features end to end in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot: data model, APIs, event-driven integration, performance and production support. Remote, full-time or contract.

Java/Kotlin backend engineer with over 3 years of commercial experience at Perfema, building enterprise platforms in EdTech and logistics. I take features end to end: data model and migrations, REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts, integration between microservices over Kafka, JMS and REST, and the monitoring that shows how they behave in production.

Most of my work is about making distributed systems reliable: a transactional outbox and idempotent consumers so messages are not lost or duplicated, Debezium CDC instead of nightly sync between databases, a ClickHouse reporting layer when analytics outgrew PostgreSQL, and real-time updates over WebSocket. I migrated authentication to Keycloak with custom SPI and set up observability with Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.

Stack: Java 17/21, Kotlin, Spring Boot 3, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI.

Java/Kotlin backend for an EdTech SaaS platform and a fleet management platform. Cut an aggregate endpoint's p95 from 1.8 s to 236 ms (recursive CTE, partial index); moved notifications to a transactional outbox; migrated auth to Keycloak with custom SPI; replaced nightly DB sync with Debezium CDC (lag from hours to seconds); built ClickHouse reporting (30-day report from 38 s to 2.4 s).
