Ian Sarty
@iansarty
Clinical coordinator and physician-in-training focused on neuromodulation, hematology, and research-driven care.
What I'm looking for
Since February 2024, I coordinate care at Atlantic Neuromodulation Solutions and Rehabilitation, administering transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy and prescreening assessments for new patient referrals. I perform literature searches and create evidence-based reports/recommendations, and I monitor follow up of patients to ensure appropriate assessments are provided.
In prior Dalhousie University residencies, I developed deep diagnostic and clinical expertise in hematological pathology—assessing and diagnosing peripheral blood smears, bone marrow and lymph node biopsies, and analyzing flow cytometry, specialized hematologic tests, and transfusion medicine tests while drafting specialized and complex reports. Earlier training in Psychiatry included prescribing medications/treatments, administering electroconvulsive therapy, advocating for insurance coverage, and mentoring medical students, and I also contributed to research by developing clinical trial protocols and supporting clinical research trials.
