What I'm looking for

I’m seeking senior or lead backend engineering work, either contract or permanent, with a fully remote setup from Portugal and Europe or North America. I’m available immediately.

At TransferGo, I hardened a bounded context until extracting it into a standalone microservice took days rather than quarters, with no production incidents. I also established AsyncAPI as the contract-first standard for event-driven communication, with schema validation and contract tests in CI.

I introduced bounded contexts as the platform’s core business unit, reaching 28 across the codebase, and defined a Laravel project layout adopted company-wide. I built shared platform libraries and improved queue onboarding from multiple days to a single morning.

At Exporo, I built an event-driven microservice for financial asset transactions involving blockchain tokens and e-wallet management. I applied Domain-Driven Design and Test-Driven Development while keeping application and domain layers separate.

Across my work, I’ve focused on making complex platforms easier for teams to own. More recently, I applied AI-assisted engineering workflows to production codebases, where the team adopted them.
