At WeArePlanet, I managed engineering for payment processing systems and stayed hands-on in the Java and Spring Boot codebase. I contributed to architecture reviews and critical-path code, and worked on reliability initiatives for critical payment infrastructure.
I owned the Kubernetes-based deployment architecture for payment services, standardizing GitOps delivery with ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions. I also drove Test-Driven Development practices and reviewed event-driven integrations using RabbitMQ.
At Jumia, I established the Digital Marketing engineering vertical and built an in-house platform that replaced third-party services, saving over $2M annually in licensing costs. I also oversaw CRM and advertising platform development and architected Kafka-based pipelines for real-time marketing automation across 11 countries.
Earlier, I led remote engineering teams at Dryver and Linkintense, where I designed and maintained software architecture, developed company products, and mentored junior engineers. I work across technical direction and people development, including team growth, planning, and engineering practices.
