Senior backend engineer, 11+ years in PHP. I work mainly on systems where the hard part isn't writing the code — it's deciding how it should work.

Symfony is my main environment: service and application architecture, Doctrine data modelling and migrations, console commands, message-driven and asynchronous processing, profiling and optimisation, and upgrades across major versions. I also work in Laravel, and spent several years on Shopware 5 and 6 at agency scale.

Most of what I get asked to own is work that is already complex or already hurting — architecture that needs rethinking rather than extending, data models that no longer match what the business actually does, performance that has stopped responding to easy fixes, or a codebase that has to be brought back to a standard while it keeps serving production traffic. I take that work from design through to delivery and stay responsible for it afterwards.

Domains I know well: affiliate tracking and attribution, marketplace and ERP synchronisation, e-commerce at agency scale, and large-scale product data — one platform I built normalises 500,000+ products from many sources onto a single taxonomy, with Elasticsearch search and ClickHouse reporting. Currently a senior developer at Revizto, a Swiss AECO collaboration platform.
