What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Finance Controller role in an Accounting & Controlling team, as deputy to the VP, at a product company. I’d focus on running a multi-entity close, keeping the balance sheet clean and improving processes.

At mih NET Berlin GmbH, I cut the monthly close from seven working days to two by redesigning the process, automating manual steps and strengthening controls. I lead monthly IFRS reporting to the group and statutory accounts under German GAAP.

I led two finance systems changes, from SAP to DATEV and later to Certinia on Salesforce. I also brought accounting in-house and built a team of two accountants.

At Blinkist, I owned the close and reporting for an international subscription business, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, intercompany accounting and VAT across several jurisdictions. I also moved accounting in-house and introduced DATEV.

I’m a CIMA member (ACMA, CGMA) and a certified accountant (IHK). I live in Málaga, have worked remotely for several years, and work in English and German.
