Helen Manos

I'm currently a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Keck Norris Cancer Center, performing chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and blood bank testing while maintaining quality control, calibration, maintenance, inventory, and SOP compliance.

At Skagit Regional Health, I directed quality and point-of-care activities across four laboratories and 34 clinics. I prepared teams for DOH, CLIA, JACO, OSHA, and DNV inspections; created a compliance program; led audits, validations, corrective actions, training, and performance-improvement reporting.

At Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, I managed clinical research laboratory operations, grants, contracts, biosafety, inventory, instruments, and staff training. I also supported research on quantitative evaluation of serum microRNAs and trained students in RNA and DNA extraction, rtPCR, and cell culture.

My earlier work at AFIP/NIH, Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Services, CARB, NASA, and the University of Pennsylvania spans clinical trials, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, budgets, contracts, SOPs, cancer research, and technical project delivery. I've authored cancer studies and helped guide complex programs involving government agencies, sponsors, research teams, and external collaborators.
