H EL
@hel
I investigate material failures and turn complex fracture data into rigorous engineering decisions.
What I'm looking for
At Leyton UK, I review manufacturing and materials projects against defined criteria and have produced more than 200 technical reports for a UK client base. I translate complex engineering evidence into clear, well-supported findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
My PhD research at ENSEM examined thermomechanical degradation in multi-recycled polymers and crack behavior in P265GH steel pressure pipes using fractography, J-integral methods, mechanical testing, and XFEM simulation. I’ve authored 10 Scopus-indexed journal articles, a book chapter, and 12 conference papers, and I’ve taught metallurgy, materials damage, strength of materials, and industrial thermodynamics.
