What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a GRC/IT risk role where I can apply NIST/ISO governance frameworks, translate controls into audit-ready documentation, and support security testing insights—working closely with stakeholders to make risk-based decisions under pressure.

I’m a GRC and cybersecurity professional transitioning from a 9+ year career leading newsroom operations, editorial governance, and stakeholder relations across Pakistan’s largest media networks. I combine governance discipline built under legal/regulatory pressure with practical cybersecurity training.

I’ve been trained across the GRC lifecycle through programs including Google Cybersecurity, Cisco Junior Cybersecurity, ISC2 GRC Foundations, Packt GRC Fundamentals, and Kennesaw State University’s Managing GRC program. My framework exposure includes NIST RMF/CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, and COBIT, supported by hands-on red/blue team operations.

In technical work, I apply SIEM monitoring, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing fundamentals, network security analysis, and SQL injection/web app security alongside Linux fundamentals. I also understand how to coordinate incident response and translate findings into governance-ready control actions.

Across operations and teams, I’ve authored and enforced standard operating procedures for workflow governance, incident escalation, and crisis coverage—functionally aligned with policy authoring and control documentation. I’m strongest where risk-based judgment, audit-ready documentation, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment determine outcomes.
